Shadow Games is an emotional rollercoaster ride! I downloaded the KU version and read it in one day. I've never before read a novel that explored the horrors of domestic abuse in such shocking detail. Having been stalked in my life, I understand the fear it engenders. So many feel it could never happen to them, but it can happen to anyone. This story isn't for the faint of heart, but it is definitely worth reading. It speaks to the power of courage and friendship. Recommended!

Antiques and Avarice is the inaugural book in a new series, White Mountains Romantic Mysteries, by Jane Firebaugh. This book held my attention on first page. This series is set in White Mountains of New Hampshire, vividly described, a beautiful locale that inspires creativity and activity. The town is an homage to the past, offering unhurried peacefulness. I would love to experience what the residents enjoy every day – authentic character and characters, cultural gems, beautifully described outdoor settings, and a wealth of antiques with the exception of a recent murder. The protagonist, Olivia McKenna, is a sweet, compassionate, observant woman who I would treasure as a friend. While shopping for antiques, Olivia discovers a body and quickly becomes an integral part of a murder investigation. The handsome detective, Lieutenant Joshua Abrams leads the police investigation of the murder, strives to keep Olivia safe and realizes they enjoy each other's companionship. Josh has a few secrets which he holds tight. I appreciate cozy mysteries that include animals. Olivia has a dog named Molly, and acquires a cat, Sheyna, after discovering the body of its owner. the suspense keeps going as Olivia is attacked and stalked. I loved how Olivia’s eye for detail and her furry friends helped Josh and her solve the case. The plot is well written, and flows smoothly with unanticipated twists and turns.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can envision a long, successful career in Ms. Firebaugh’s future and am looking forward additional books in this series. This was the ideal book for me as I love antiques, food, animals, sweet romance and a good murder mystery. If you like clean cozy mysteries with sweet romance, or if you desire want a really good book, this is for you. I highly recommend this great book!

Old Crimes & Nursery Rhymes: Jane Firebaugh is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her second book in this new series is awesome. Main character Olivia becomes involved in a mystery when her best friend Vicki asks her to be on the lookout for an antique children's bank that could be worth a fortune. From there Olivia & fiancé Josh (who just happens to be a police detective), find themselves immersed in kidnappings, murders old & new, all while trying to plan their wedding. I adore Olivia's dog Molly & cat Sheyna. I love that they live in such a pet friendly town & the animals can be a big part of the storyline. ****Spoiler***** The ending shocked the hell out of me! Never expected it. Also, nice setup at the end for the next book in the series!

Murder & Mistletoe: Jane Firebaugh is a master of her craft. Olivia and Josh run a private investigation agency, and are asked by Josh's father Peter to look into a robbery that happened at his vacation home. They stayed at Peter's home while he was out of town, along with their dog Molly, and cat Sheyna. While investigating, Josh and Olivia find out that several houses were robbed, so with the consent of the local police department, they also looked into those robberies. This is a fast paced book with lots of twists and turns, and I couldn't put it down. Jane Firebaugh is a phenomenal author. I love this series and highly recommend it.

Justice & Joy: Olivia and Josh are busy preparing for their wedding and running their successful detective agency. They're also in the process of getting their dream home move in ready when they come back from their honeymoon. Olivia and Josh are looking for a person who has been scamming people out of their money, while also trying to solve a 50 year old murder. This book has a lot of twists and turns, kept me on the edge of my seat, and I didn't want it to end. Jane Firebaugh is a wonderful author and I highly recommend this book and this series.
